About LifeSkills Childrens Crisis Stabilization Unit – Warren County – Bowling Green
LifeSkills Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit – Warren County helps juveniles who need immediate, acute care for issues that may include addiction. They’ll assess your condition and recommend appropriate treatment options. They’re available 24 hours a day. They also have 25 other service locations across South Central Kentucky.
When you first enter this unit, they’ll collect your personal information and learn as much about your condition as possible. Then they’ll consult with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to determine the best course of action to take.
If you’d benefit most from short term care, you’ll be admitted to their crisis stabilization program. This program lasts anywhere from one to seven days and gives you the chance to break away from the situation at hand. While you rest from the tension, your loved ones will work with the care team to decide your next steps.
Their longer term option is the intensive treatment program, which can last from one week to one month. During your stay, you’ll attend daily individual and group therapy sessions. Your care team will monitor and observe you around the clock and intervene as necessary to make sure you’re comfortable. They’re also available to treat any co-occurring conditions you might be experiencing, such as anxiety. This option is best for people who need to overcome their issues so they can keep their homes and families intact.
No matter which program you’re in, the providers here can also offer placement services and links to other local resources. Their goal is to stabilize you and help you create a foundation for long term recovery.
