About LifeSpring Health Systems Turning Point Center – Jeffersonville
Turning Point Center, run by Lifespring Health Systems, is a residential facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana that offers alcohol and drug treatment for men and women. They provide comprehensive, individualized recovery services that address the specific needs of each client.
Clients will receive evidence based treatments to help them work toward living a better life. The staff features a variety of licensed and certified professionals such as psychiatrists, social workers, nurses and case managers. Additional staff members at the facility include peer support professionals and primary care providers. Two separate areas will be provided for men and women with each room having two or three beds.
Medically supervised withdrawal management is provided with 24-hour medical supervision. Clinicians will decide if a client needs this level of care based on the substances they’ve been using, what withdrawal symptoms are being experienced and their overall health. A doctor will also administer medication if necessary. These medications help with reducing withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Clients can decide to participate in group meetings during this treatment or wait until after they’ve completed detox.
The services available in the residential program include individual therapy, group therapy and case management. Primary medical care and psychiatric and medication services are also available at the facility.
Clients will attend individual therapy once a week with availability for additional sessions upon request. Clients will meet with master’s level therapists who have training in treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. Group therapy is mandatory for all clients and will focus on topics related to addiction such as relapse prevention and coping skills.
