About Lifewell – Mitchell – Phoenix
Lifewell Behavioral Wellness – Mitchell is a nonprofit behavioral health and substance abuse support center in Phoenix, Arizona, just south of Steele Indian School Park. They provide integrated healthcare services to low income clients to promote greater health within their communities. They serve adult clients.
Lifewell’s treatment plans are individualized to meet the needs of each client based on personal experience, gender, and cultural needs. They specialize in treating adults with severe mental illness (SMI). Services include residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
The residential program is designed for those with severe symptoms requiring close supervision. Clients in this program live at the facility during treatment under the watch and care of staff. Clients may be referred to detox before they can enter this program.
During treatment, clients follow a highly structured schedule of recovery activities. These include counseling (in individual and group settings), psychiatric services, and life and coping skills training. Parents also have access to nursery services.
The outpatient program is a lower level of care, designed for those with mild symptoms who have stabilized. Clients attend treatment while continuing to live at home. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, medication management services, peer support programs, and case management services.
MAT uses prescribed medication to help with treatment. Qualifying clients receive FDA-approved medication, and their dosing and progress are closely monitored by staff.
Lifewell accepts many major insurance plans, including BlueCross BlueShield, Mercy Care, Molina Healthcare, and UnitedHealthcare. However, since in network and out of network benefits may vary, clients should confirm coverage with their insurance provider before enrolling in a rehabilitation program.
