About Lifeworks Northwest – Portland

LifeWorks Northwest is an alcohol and drug rehab for youth and adults in Portland, Oregon. Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) and outpatient rehab offer multiple therapeutic approaches and services. These include employment assistance, DUII programs, family programs and psychiatry. Clients can access treatment for alcohol, drugs, opioids, dual diagnosis and gambling. LifeWorks may collaborate with major insurance companies to cover some treatment costs.

Clients can live at home while participating in intensive care with the IOP. Their IOP is person centered, with treatment plans focused on holistic healing. Clients benefit from individual and group counseling, family programs, psychiatry, employment training and DUI programs. They also provide peer specialists who offer support and encouragement to help promote sustained recovery.

With outpatient treatment, clients can enjoy the flexibility to live at home and care for responsibilities while in treatment. The outpatient program offers a lower level of care while utilizing similar approaches as their IOP.

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
