About Lighthouse Counseling – Fredericksburg

The IOP is a group therapy program that meets three times per week, with one individual session per week. There are three phases to this program, and individuals step down into a less intensive phase as they progress. The Honors track provides incentives to develop recovery-based activities that help sustain recovery following treatment.

The recovery action program is the second phase of treatment. Participants meet twice per week. Individuals can begin at this level of care if their assessment shows they are ready. This phase is four months long.

The Recovery Group is the final phase of treatment and meets once a week for six months. It focuses on the benefits of recovery and reacclimating after treatment. The Harm Reduction Therapy Group is also available for individuals who do not identify as having an addiction but want to address issues in their lives that have come from substance abuse. This group meets weekly for six months. Lastly, there is a Substance Abuse Treatment Group that is for individuals who have never attended treatment before.
