About Lighthouse Counseling Center – Fayetteville
Lighthouse Counseling Center is an addiction and mental health treatment facility based out of Fayetteville, North Carolina that seeks to help children, adolescents, and adults benefit from Biblical counseling services. This facility accepts many types of insurance policies including ones with major providers like Medicaid, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Tricare and more.
For more than 28 years, Lighthouse Counseling Center has offered individualized therapy for children, teenagers and adults. They also offer substance abuse counseling. Therapy and counseling can be offered with a faith based approach if clients prefer but it isn’t a requirement for clients who seek care at the facility. Lighthouse Counseling Center also has courses dedicated to marriage and family issues. Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and play therapy are also available.
One notable feature of this facility is that it is Veteran owned. Dr. Mike Martin spent over 28 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. His experience and love of the military gives him a unique perspective on trauma, grief, PTSD, and mood disorders. Dr. Martin understands veteran specific issues, giving him unique insight into the specialized care veterans need.
Staff member Kim Herring is a licensed psychological associate and professional counselor who has provided high quality outpatient therapy to clients for over 20 years. She has treated families, individuals, and children who have struggled with ADHD, depression, blended family issues, adjustment disorders, and oppositional defiant disorder.
The diverse and well rounded staff also included qualified professionals who specialize in marital conflict, family counseling, mindfulness, and suicide ideation.
