About Lubbock Lighthouse – Lubbock
Lubbock Lighthouse is a private substance abuse treatment program in Lubbock, Texas, just off Avenue Q. They introduce clients to the recovery process through evidence backed methods combining traditional talk therapy, and FDA approved medication. They serve adult clients.
Education services at Lubbock Lighthouse include AIDS, HCV, HIV, and Hepatitis C prevention. Clients who need additional care services will receive referrals to other services in the area to continue treatment. Services they offer include:
Clients are assessed to determine their needs. Sometimes, a client may be referred to a detox service before starting treatment. Staff also uses the information gathered during the assessment to develop a custom treatment plan for each client.
Outpatient programs, also known as day programs, are those that allow clients to continue living at home while still receiving treatment. During an outpatient program, clients visit the facility on a fixed schedule to meet with their care team and to participate in treatment, which may involve individual and group counseling.
The use of medication is a critical component in treating opioid addiction. Clients are assessed to determine if MAT is an appropriate treatment option. If they are, they will be prescribed an FDA-approved medication to reduce cravings and other withdrawal symptoms. All use of medication is closely monitored by staff.
