About Lutheran Social Services – Eau Claire
Lutheran Social Services (LSS) – Fahrman Center is a residential treatment center offering addiction treatment for adult men and women. Lutheran Social Services (LSS) – Fahrman Center is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Their counselors help patients improve their lives by using evidence-based practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, social learning theory and gender-specific groups. The patients are also engaged in activities including group sessions each day, individual therapy, family services, educational sessions and specialty services.
Recreation/Fitness Programs are incorporated with Fahrman Center programming to assist clients in developing ideas for sober fun, to assist with an outlet for stress reduction, and to encourage clients to work as a team. In addition to two exercise rooms and a fully equipped recreation area, they have an outdoor recreation area that includes a walking track, frisbee golf, a half-court for basketball, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball court.
The basement and the third floor are the male residents’ territory. In the basement are a weight machine and a treadmill, as well as Foosball and Ping Pong. The third floor lounge has a TV and movies, jigsaw puzzles, cards, books and various board games. On the main floor are both the women’s exercise room and lounge. The exercise room is not much better equipped than the men’s, with just a treadmill, exercise ball and bike and the lounge is basically the same.
