About MARC – Bolger House – Poughkeepsie
Bolger House is part of the Mental Health America of Dutchess County network. It’s a nonprofit that’s located in Poughkeepsie, New York. They accept donations and have events and sales in order to gather funds to promote awareness for mental health and substance use disorders for adults.
The house is strictly for males. I like that it allows men to live in a safe environment while they are transitioning back into society. The length of stay is typically 9 months.
While the men live on site, they will have access to certain services. The guys will be able to attend vocational planning and life skills training groups. I like that they’re able to attend recovery meetings and counseling in both a group and individual setting. One great perk about living onsite is that you’ll be able to build a sober support network.
