About Martha’s Vineyard Community Services – Tisbury
Home to the largest marina on Martha’s Vineyard, Oaks Bluff, Massachusetts also features Martha’s Vineyard Community Services. This outpatient center provides addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment for adults seeking recovery. You’ll benefit from personalized care and specialized tracks for your unique situation.
Their New Paths program provides intensive groups to help you reach your recovery goals. You can access proven therapeutic interventions including as needed private sessions, psychiatric services, and family education. They strive to help you develop coping and relapse prevention skills to advance in your journey. You’ll also benefit from a supportive environment to connect with and learn from peers in recovery.
One standout feature that caught my eye was their DUI services. If you have multiple DUI charges then they offer a year long program to learn the impacts of substance dependency and healthy coping mechanisms. Weekly individual, group and family approaches are available. You’ll benefit from reinstating your license while gaining safe driving tools and achieving recovery.
Another great element I noticed was their recovery coaching program. Recovery coaches have lived experience in addiction and sobriety. They serve as mentors, peers and coaches in your journey and help you recognize and address your relationship with substances. You’ll also be assisted with determining your recovery goals and connections to community resources to aid your journey.
I think their Peer Recovery Support Center is fantastic. Less than 10 minutes away they provide a safe space for people starting recovery. This is a great place to stop by if you’ve been considering addressing your addiction but don’t know where to start. You’ll benefit from peer support, workshops, group sessions, trainings, sober social events and more. I think this is great because even if you’re not positive about recovery you can still gain insights from people who were once in your shoes.
