About McLaren Behavioral Health Center – Flint

McLaren Health Care’s Behavioral Health Outpatient Services is a private behavioral healthcare center for adolescents and adults. They provide clients with partial hospitalization (PHP) care. They provide services for individuals and families. You’ll find ’em located out in Flint, Michigan.

Partial hospitalization programs are designed for clients with severe symptoms. In this program, clients are admitted to the facility, but they don’t stay there overnight. Instead, it’s a day treatment program. This allows staff to provide help and supervision for most of the day while ensuring clients are in a safe environment.

Services offered include counseling in individual, group, and family sessions, recreational therapy, and psychiatric evaluations. It also includes physical and biopsychosocial assessments, substance abuse education, and referrals for continuing treatment and discharge planning. There’s also help for anger management and recreational therapy.

After you complete PHP, you can step down to a more general outpatient program. You’ll lessen your time at the center as you become more independent.

McLaren Health Care accepts many private insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI, CIGNA, Humana, and United Health Care. Clients should confirm coverage before enrolling in a treatment program, as out of network benefits may vary.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
