About McNabb Center — Hamblen County – Morristown

The McNabb Center is a mental health and substance use treatment center in northeastern Tennessee. Their Hamblen County outpost is in Morristown, Tennessee and houses outpatient mental health services and an adult alcohol and drug residential rehab.

Their adult residential rehab is designated by the state of Tennessee as having enhanced status. This means that it’s able to care for people who have mental illness and who also need substance use treatment. This is important because even though these often happen together, treatment centers can often only handle one or the other.

Children and adults can get services at their outpatient center. They have a wide range of services available including individual talk therapy, group therapy and medication management. If you have opioid use disorder and are looking for treatment with medication, they can prescribe it. The medications they use to treat opioid addiction are buprenorphine and naltrexone.

They have recently added services at this location for people who’ve been domestically abused. They help male and female victims of domestic abuse locate resources. They have an emergency shelter and can assist with transitional housing.

Their programs are accredited by CARF, which means they’re meeting standards of care.
