About Mental Health Clinic Mather Hospital – Port Jefferson
Mather Hospital Outpatient Behavioral Health Services is a substance use disorder and chemical dependency outpatient clinic for adults that is located in Port Jefferson, New York. It is licensed by the Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services.
This facility offers both intensive outpatient therapy and general outpatient therapy. The intensive outpatient therapy typically lasts 6 weeks. During the 6 week timeframe, you will attend individual and group therapy sessions three days a week for three hours a day. After completing the intensive therapy, you will step down to general outpatient therapy which is one to three sessions a week for as long as you and your counselor deem necessary.
While in therapy here, you will go through a comprehensive assessment of the stage of your substance use disorder, then your counselor will create an individualized holistic plan of treatment for you, your family, or significant other to address all aspects of your substance use disorder. They offer a flexible schedule of services so that you can attend at a convenient time for you and your life.
