About MHMR Tarrant – Western Hills Clinic – Fort Worth

MHMRTC stands for My Health My Resources of Tarrant County. MHMRTC – Western Hills helps children, teens, and adults overcome behavioral health issues, including drug and alcohol addictions. They operate multiple locations throughout the county, including the Western Hills Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. Here, you’ll find an array of outpatient services to help you work through your condition, learn healthy ways to cope, and reclaim your quality of life. You can pay through private pay, commercial insurance, or Medicaid.

Something I like about this program is the whole client approach they take to recovery. Instead of just treating the physical signs of addiction, they’ll help you get to the bottom of your condition so you can begin to heal from the inside out. This work is done mostly through individual, family, and group counseling, which gives you the space to open up and share about your struggles. They also offer psychoeducation, family support, and special services for clients facing drug related charges.

There are Spanish speaking counselors and staff members on site, which helps them expand their reach. When you meet with your counselors, be sure to tell them about the goals you’ve set for your recovery. They can help you reach them, including any academic aspirations you’d love to achieve in the future.

In addition to outpatient counseling, they also provide preventative services throughout the community, including educational groups, presentations, and testing for HIV and Hepatitis C.

One client says she’s been in this program since 1989 and wouldn’t be the person she is today without it. She also notes that they’re nonjudgmental, which makes it easier to ask for help.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
