About MHS – Family Recovery Center – FRC – Oceanside
MHS Family Recovery Center, located in Oceanside, California, is a women’s addiction treatment center that supports the healing of substance use disorder through a continuum of care that allows children to remain in connection with their mothers. They provide residential treatment and partial hospitalization and general outpatient programs, and outpatient treatment services. Specialized support is available for those with co-occurring conditions.
Their residential treatment supports clients who need mental health and physical stabilization before they can begin the next phase of their recovery. This is a 24/7 care program if you can’t safely go home and undergo treatment simultaneously. You’ll learn healthy coping strategies and life skills in a highly structured environment. Oftentimes, individual, group, and family therapy is necessary, and participation is essential for recovery.
Their PHP treatment is a 6–9 month day treatment program for pregnant women with a history of drug and alcohol abuse. It also serves new mothers who have recently tested positive for drugs and mothers who have an alcohol or drug problem. Parenting classes, drug and alcohol education, life skills, vocational assessment, HIV education, and 12 Step meetings are a part of the treatment process. Individual, group, and family counseling are also important elements and participation is required. Childcare is available and two daily meals are provided. If a home environment is not suitable, sober living can be arranged at a modest rent.
Their outpatient programming offers a more flexible approach to addiction treatment that is a step down from their day programs. This service provides continued support for addiction recovery through individual therapy, group therapy, and educational classes on addiction and recovery. Medications may be managed, and for those in need, trauma support may also be offered. The goal is to continue to move toward a life of recovery and a suitable aftercare treatment plan that allows for reintegration back into society.
They may accept most private insurance plans. Out of network benefits can vary so ask your individual provider to verify your coverage.
