About MHS – Helping Hands – Victorville
Mental Health Systems (MHS) is a nonprofit mental health and substance abuse treatment center. They’re dedicated to providing inpatient and outpatient services throughout the state at various locations. They take a strength-based, culturally appropriate approach to care. You’ll find ’em out in Victorville, California.
Inpatient care takes place in the facility, where clients stay for the length of the program. By living on campus, clients have 24-hour access to care and support and are removed from potentially dangerous distractions. Care may include individual counseling, group counseling, case management, education groups, peer groups, and coping skills development.
Outpatient appointments take place in a clinic or a client’s home. This is a lower level of care designed for those with mild symptoms or who have completed inpatient treatment. In an outpatient program, the focus of treatment typically shifts to individual counseling and symptom management/coping skills.
Rehabilitation and treatment programs commonly accept private insurance plans that can include BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, and Optum. Clients should always confirm their insurance coverage before enrolling in a treatment plan.
