About MHS – School Based Program – San Diego
MHS School-Based Program, located in San Diego, California, provides alcohol and drug rehab services, dual diagnosis treatment, and mental health treatment at eleven schools in the county. Services are provided to individuals struggling with a wide variety of life challenges.
MHS School Based Program is offered on an outpatient basis. Special attention is placed on helping increase performance in academics while supporting an individual’s mental health. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, dual diagnosis treatment, case management services, and alcohol and drug rehab services are available. If it is determined that an individual needs a higher level of care, they may be referred to an alcohol or drug rehab center or a psychiatric treatment center that can provide inpatient or residential treatment.
As an individual progresses and their treatment program, they may reduce the amount of time spent in treatment down to what would be considered a maintenance program. This supports individuals in long-term success.
MHS School Based Program encourages individuals to contact them to discuss insurance and payment options. If a person wants to use insurance for any type of treatment, they are encouraged to contact their insurance provider because out-of-network benefits may vary from plan to plan.
