Mid-Range Chemical Dependency Services, Inc. provides an alternative to traditional alcohol/substance treatments. We do not use the 12-Step model, but will work with those who want the 12-Steps. We focus on transformation rather than recovery. We believe that effective, lasting change arises from the development of new thoughts, beliefs, and values resulting in a real transformation in being. Almost all suffering addicts progress using alcohol or drugs as a way to temporarily escape from a reality that is unacceptable to them. Even if they are successful in quitting using, the reality that they found unacceptable still exists. When the suffering person can create a reality they can accept, a transformation will have occurred.
In our treatment program, we work with clients to help them perceive their lives more accurately, and to create thoughts, beliefs, and values that will help them to become the person they want to be. Successful transformation will dissolve the underlying disfunction that led to addiction, and there will no longer be any reason for using alcohol or drugs. We have had many clients who have gone on to have fulfilling lives with no desire to use drugs or alcohol. Our program is designed to help our clients find meaning and purpose in their lives.
