Middle House is a sober living facility in San Luis Obispo, California. It’s a single-gender facility for adult males who are over the age of 18. Men who are stepping down from alcohol or drug rehab, or who have a desire to stop drinking or using and have been sober for 48 hours are appropriate candidates.
Their sober living facility can accommodate 14 residents. It provides a substance-free environment where people who are recovering from alcohol and substance use can live. There is no limit on how long a resident can stay, as long as he is willing to follow house rules, pay rent, and be employed. Many people who use sober houses stay in them for up to 18 months.
Middle House doesn’t provide treatment services. During their stay, guys commonly participate in outpatient treatment and peer support groups. These may include therapies such as medication-assisted treatment, and substance use counseling, as well as peer support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous.
They also don’t accept insurance. Residents must pay for their rent out of pocket. However, residents who use outside services during their stay may find that these services do accept insurance. Check with your benefits provider to verify what they cover and the out of network benefits they provide.
