About Mission Teens – The Lion’s Den MBTC – Roscommon
The Lion’s Den MBTC program in Roscommon, Michigan is a division of Mission Teens, Inc. This is a non profit faith based organization that supports teens who are struggling with a drug, alcohol, or substance use disorder.
This program can also support you if you’re experiencing emotional difficulties. Care is offered in a residential treatment center and the program is offered free of charge.
They follow what they describe as a discipleship training program which is broken up into four stages. As you progress through these stages, you’ll gain more independence, responsibility and privileges.
The residential discipleship training treatment program can last anywhere from 8 to 10 months. Although Mission Teens is a non-denominational organization, there’s a strong focus on Christ centered faith and fellowship. You’ll be encouraged to tap into a higher power so that you can lean on your faith when you encounter obstacles in your recovery.
Through the faith fellowship offered here, you’ll be able to build a strong community of peers and mentors who will help guide you through recovery.
You’ll find early on that there’s a strong focus on building a community that you can lean on. Throughout your time here, you’ll move through a rather structured daily program that includes everything from Bible study to counseling and community gatherings. You’ll also have free time where you get to explore activities and hobbies like gardening, sports, and other recreational activities.
At times, you’ll also engage in work projects, special events, and outings. This will allow you to experience what a sober and healthy lifestyle feels like. Through this, you’ll begin building healthy habits that will transfer with you into your everyday life when you leave the treatment program here.
