About Mission Waco – Manna House – Waco
Mission Waco’s Manna House is a Christian focused residential recovery facility for men at the early stage of recovery from substance use disorder in Waco, Texas. The facility provides a safe, supportive and empowering space where healing can occur without judgment. The program is especially ideal for low income individuals who are stepping down from inpatient care and require a structured setting to build independent living skills.
Their urban setting ensures easy access through public and private transportation. They’re just a short walk from Cameron Park, Waco Suspension Bridge and Magnolia Market at the Silos. These key landmarks offer good recreational benefits and escape from the inherent routine activities in the residence. Particularly natural retreats like Cameron Park and Brazos River offer a calm setting that’s suitable for reflection and recovery.
The mix of urban and natural settings makes this location versatile which is pretty much what a residential facility should offer regarding settling. The facility runs on a highly structured and disciplined schedule from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. They help you address the root causes of addictions so you can recover and become an integral part of your community.
You’ll receive personalized care to meet your physical, emotional and spiritual needs from start to finish. That’s provided you’re committed to your recovery journey.
You’ll attend counseling sessions, Bible studies/devotional meetings and church services. You’re also expected to actively participate in 12 step meetings within the community and find a sponsor.
Phase III participants can access GED courses as well as skill training classes on computers and job searches through the Mission Waco MPowerment Program. These prepare you for a potentially lucrative career opportunity upon reentering the community.
Over 700 men have received Christian based inpatient treatment that helped them tackle the root causes of substance use since the program began. This underscores its importance in helping people achieve lasting recovery to live a healthy life free from drugs and alcohol.
