About Monte Nido Rosewood Tempe – Tempe
Monte Nido Rosewood Tempe is a daytime treatment center for eating disorders and co-occurring issues such as substance misuse and mental health challenges. They treat adolescents and adults. You’ll come in for your treatment program and sleep at home in the evenings.
Tempe is an urban desert city on the Northern Edge of the Sonoran Desert. Your sessions will be in a spacious building, surrounded by park-like greenery. While their primary focus is on eating disorders, they aim to help you resolve all the areas that are causing your distress.
If you need a higher level of care to stabilize from substance use, you’ll be referred to their inpatient facility nearby. Otherwise, you’ll join one of the two levels of treatment programs where you’ll be cared for by psychiatrists, therapists and nutrition experts.
I noticed that many elements of your program are similar to what you’d get in drug and alcohol rehab. For example, they’ll teach you coping skills to deal with life’s challenges in a healthy way. You’ll take part in yoga and movement classes to practice mindfulness and feel the benefits of physical exercise. You’ll meet with a counselor individually and be part of group therapy sessions.
They support sober house and encourage you to attend 12 step meetings independently.
As your recovery progresses, you’ll begin to feel better and see that there is a hopeful future for you. Tempe is a college town where you get to study and grab hold of the life you want. It also offers outdoor adventures like biking, hiking or picnicking in Papago Park or boating on the Tempe Town Lake.
