The outpatient treatment programs are available in person and via telehealth so that they can be accessible to everyone. Flexible day and evening appointments are available, so you can choose a time that’s convenient for you to receive treatment.
One unique element of Mountainside is that during the general outpatient program, you can join a variety of groups that meet once a week. The women’s empowerment group focuses on the issues common with women, such as balancing self care, body image, and self esteem. You can also join groups focused on remembrance and mourning, co occurring disorders, recovery maintenance, or mind body connection.
They also have recovery coaching to help you set and meet goals as you adjust to a substance free lifestyle. They’ll review your progress regularly and encourage you. There a family wellness program as well, which can help repair family relationships and help everyone develop healthy boundaries.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is seven weeks long with 24 sessions. The program will focus on helping you recognize triggers, manage withdrawal symptoms, and understand addiction better. Individual therapy will address recovery issues unique to you, and group therapy will give you an opportunity to learn from others’ experiences. The group sessions will discuss topics such as creating a support network and building a relapse prevention plan.
