Native American Connections – Outpatient delivers a culturally competent intensive outpatient program for substance use disorder. They’re located in Phoenix, Arizona. They serve adults over 18 including men and women. They also address co-occurring disorders. This is when someone simultaneously struggles with both mental and substance use disorders.
Their recovery approach integrates proven therapeutic practices with traditional healing and cultural curriculum. They even incorporate 12 Step recovery techniques like AA or NA support groups. These recovery approaches are delivered in both group and individual sessions. The sessions cover anger/mood management, relapse prevention/addiction education and life skills. Their traditional healing groups including talking circles and positive Indian parenting facilitate healing of the mind, body and soul. They also offer gender specific groups, AA meetings and co-occurring general mental health groups.
The program is structured to strengthen your recovery without disrupting your everyday routines. You can expect exceptional support tailored to your unique recovery needs throughout your recovery journey. They also provide peer recovery coaching, family support and case management. The program lasts for eight weeks.
Aftercare services may include referral to their transitional housing for ongoing support. They may also provide educational support, employment assistance and medical care support.
