New BHcare Shoreline provides behavioral health services in Branford, Connecticut, to help individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. The center offers a person-centered approach to care that focuses on supporting those dealing with mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Medicaid, Medicare and HUSKY are accepted. If you are paying out of pocket then they will use a sliding fee scale. You can pay via credit card, cash or check.
Their clinicians will work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs and goals. The treatment will encourage you to express your desired outcomes, needs and expectations.
You will explore your symptoms and strengths. They will help you identify your stressors to develop new coping skills. Their goal is to help you improve your emotional, behavioral and social outlook.
You will be able to receive substance use treatment that provides support and education. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) will be available if you are struggling with an opioid addiction.
Dual diagnosis treatment is also provided. They combine medication, therapy and supportive services to those struggling with both a psychiatric illness and non prescription substance addiction. They are able to provide treatment if you have a diagnosis such as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder or schizophrenia.
If you have needs that cannot be met through weekly group or individual treatment then you may want to look into their intensive outpatient program (IOP). This program involves attending treatment three to five days per week. You’ll participate in three hours of specialized and focused group activities each day. They also have a flexible evening program to create a work-life balance.
They use evidence based practice that consists of dialectical behavior therapy. This form of therapy can help you with distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal issues.
