About New Direction Residential Treatment Program – Miami
Miami Dade – New Direction Residential Treatment Program is a substance abuse treatment program for young adults and adults in Miami, Florida. The center provides medication assisted treatment, inpatient care, outpatient programs, and aftercare. Additional services are available for justice involved persons. Gender specific groups are also provided.
To be admitted into the New Direction Residential Treatment Program, clients can receive referrals from county, police, or medical professionals, and walk-ins are accepted. From there, clients may be eligible for medication assisted treatment. This is a process in which clients reduce their withdrawals and cravings through controlled dosing by clinicians. That way, clients have a lesser chance of relapse. Medication assisted treatment is available throughout the program.
Acute cases may be eligible for residential care, which can include 24/7 psychiatric and medical supervision. Clients receive individual and group counseling from a case management team. They build up life skills and learn ways to resist relapse. Some clients may also receive social services, such as housing or additional care to address underlying mental and behavioral disorders.
An outpatient program is also available as clients build up their recovery. Clients in the outpatient program have more flexibility and independence. They don’t have to stay overnight, and they attend sessions once or several times per week, depending on their treatment. Special day/night sessions are available for qualifying women under a court order or by their doctor.
Miami Dade offers different payment options, depending on the program and clients’ ability to pay. Check your insurance coverage and out of network benefits to lower costs.
