About New Horizons Treatment Center – Rome
New Horizons Treatment Center is a SAMHSA licensed Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)Treatment Program located in Rome, Georgia. They have a medication assisted treatment (MAT) program that serves adults. If you are interested in seeking treatment at New Horizons, they have a confidential intake line that helps you get connected.
You will be evaluated on an individual basis. One thing that I like about this program is they will refer you to other services if you are not appropriate for this level of care.
To be considered for treatment, you will receive a no-cost comprehensive interview to determine your medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and psychosocial needs. If you are appropriate for services, you will be scheduled for a physical exam to ensure you are healthy enough for treatment.
As far as their MAT program goes, they prescribe methadone and Suboxone. Each service provided through the MAT program costs different and they have certain stipulations for missing a treatment day or testing positive for additional substance.
In addition to methadone and Subxone, they offer counseling services as well for the best outcome of the client. New Horizons conducts services on an individual and group basis. These services are required for their program.
They also will provide you with aftercare services once you complete treatment to ensure that you are connected to additional services and community resources. Some additional services that they offer include HIV and other infectious disease testing and prevention, life skills training, educational counseling, and family counseling.
