About New Mexico Solutions – Albuquerque
New Mexico Solutions offers outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for individuals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The counselors here are licensed to provide drug and alcohol counseling, individual therapy and group therapy. These services are available to help both adults and adolescents. Additional services at this facility include the transitions group and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).
Their services are evidence-based, trauma-informed and individualized to each client’s needs. They do not deny services to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Individuals who do not have access to Medicaid or private insurance can pay a sliding scale fee based on their income level and family size.
The transition group is designed to help individuals who are unsure whether their substance use rises to the level of needing extensive treatment and recovery. When clients become convinced they need help then they can start to receive intensive outpatient care.
The minimum amount of time group meetings will occur is three days a week for three hours a day. Clients attend these meetings for up to six weeks during the course of their treatment. The group meetings discuss concepts related to addiction including the disease of alcoholism and how to recover.
The facility believes an important service of the program that clients should participate in is family counseling. This form of counseling can help families support their loved one more in their addiction recovery and heal any damage that’s happened to the relationship. The staff will conduct regular alcohol and drug testing to make sure patients are maintaining their sobriety. The aftercare program will provide clients with additional group and therapy sessions to help them be successful in their recovery journey.
