You will have a medical and psychological evaluation when you come in to determine if there are drugs in your system. If you need detox, you will be admitted to the program.

The hospital offers inpatient detox services which provide supervision 24 hours a day by trained staff. You will receive medications to help you with withdrawal symptoms. The average stay in this program is three days.

It can be dangerous to detox from drugs that are physically addictive such as opioids, stimulants and benzodiazepines. Withdrawal from these drugs can cause heart palpitations and seizures. It can also cause anxiety and insomnia. Professional monitoring will help you avoid these problems.

Once you have been medically stabilized through their detox program, you will meet with a psychiatrist. They will refer you to inpatient or outpatient care for continued support and recovery.
