About NFI – Amesbury Assessment – Amesbury
NFI – Amesbury Assessment, also known as NFI Pathways, is a program within the North American Family Institute. NFI Massachusetts treatment centers and rehabs for adults and kids are all built around the goal of strengthening and empowering healthy families across the state. Pathways in Amesbury, Massachusetts, is specifically a treatment center for teens with behavioral health issues.
This residential rehab serves youth ages 12 to 18. They can help with substance abuse and other behavioral health issues like truancy or running away. Most kids are here between 14 and 45 days, but it depends on your child and what they need for their health and wellness.
The program is very family centered, so they’ll work closely with you throughout your child’s treatment. While they do help kids with a variety of behavioral health issues, they’ll tailor your child’s treatment to what they specifically need. They’ll have group therapy for substance abuse and group therapy for other issues like anger management. It all starts with a clinical assessment to understand why your child struggles with drug and alcohol addiction and to make a plan for their short term and long term recovery.
Along with treating your child’s addiction, the team will help them develop skills that will help them have better relationships and a healthier life as they become an adult. They’ll learn coping skills and stress management. They’ll develop communication and relationship building skills too.
Think of this treatment center as a short term step in your child’s long term growth. Their counselors will work with them to either orchestrate the next stage in their treatment or help them come home healthier and in recovery.
