About NFI – Milestone Emergency Residence – Wilmington

Located in Wilmington, Massachusetts, Milestone Emergency Residence is a short-term residential treatment center for youth aged 12 to 18. They operate under NFI Massachusetts and provide care for a range of different behavioral health concerns, including trauma, family conflict, substance abuse, and emotional disturbance. If you reside here, you can participate in different programs based on your individual needs, including crisis services, intensive family counseling, and clinical assessments.

Residential treatment programs at Milestone are designed around the Normative Community Approach. In addition to attending individual, group, and family counseling, you will be expected to socialize and work alongside your peers to learn healthy life skills and create a foundation for sustained recovery. The facility is designed to be comfortable and well-equipped, so you can enjoy all of the comforts and conveniences of home.

Support groups and on-site educational programs are available to help clients learn more about their conditions, develop beneficial coping strategies, foster healthy relationships, and handle anger in safe and constructive ways.

The facility will help you rapidly stabilize and integrate into your designated treatment plan. Their goal is to help you return home or enter into the next appropriate program within 45 days. They can make referrals to outside providers if you need additional recovery support as you leave residential treatment.
