About Niagara County Mental Health – Lockport
Niagara County Mental Health is a division of Niagara County Government in Lockport, New York. They are a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health crisis service facility for adults, seniors and children. They provide a 24/7 crisis telephone line for the area. They offer crisis intervention and a hospital diversion program, which provides short term counseling and treatment to help keep you from having to go to the hospital.
They provide community based therapy and peer support. The crisis team will also assist you in finding a treatment or a treatment facility that will work best for you. The crisis team can evaluate you or your child to determine the necessary intervention for what is happening at the time.
This facility also provides services for those who have been incarcerated and need help returning to the community or need resources. They can connect you with organizations that can help long term if needed. Niagara may be able to provide for some of your short term needs.
This program can make referrals for those whose needs are greater than what they can meet. If you require detox or a more intensive treatment program, you will be referred to another agency or facility that will be able to help you.
