About Nirvana Drug and Alcohol – Modesto
Nirvana Drug and Alcohol Institute is located in Modesto, California, in the Central Valley. They’re a nonprofit organization offering substance use and mental health disorder treatment for adults. They offer an intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP) and standard outpatient treatment (OP).
The intensive outpatient program meets four days per week for three hours per day. You’ll have 12 hours of group sessions per week. You’ll also participate in one individual session per week. While in the program, you’ll participate in evidence based treatments. You’ll work to identify what caused you to use substances and how to avoid situations that trigger you to drink or use.
Many people have co occurring mental health disorders and substance use is an attempt at self medicating. By getting to the root of your substance use, you’ll be better able to manage both the substance use and your mental health.
The regular outpatient treatment program meets on Mondays and Fridays for 1.5 hours for a total of three hours of group therapy per week. You’ll have one individual therapy session per week too. If you need some flexibility for work or school, there are morning and evening classes. You’ll schedule your individual session directly with your counselor.
If you require more acute care, Nirvana may refer you to their residential centers for men or for women.
