About Nix Medical Center – Heritage Center – San Antonio
Nix Medical Center’s Heritage Center was a private mental health treatment facility. This location had an exclusive inpatient (IP) treatment program for senior adults. They were located in San Antonio, Texas. All Nix centers are currently closed.
Senior healthcare poses unique challenges for providers and clients alike. Families and clients alike want to know that they’ll be treated with dignity and respect and that clients will be made comfortable during their time in treatment. That’s why specialty programs like the old Heritage Center exist.
By exclusively serving senior clients, staff were better able to create an environment and craft programs that were not only appealing and welcoming, but addressed the unique needs of senior adults.
In addition to medication management and therapy services, clients received private rooms and access to 24 nursing care to ensure their comfort. It was a level of individualized care and attention you may not find in general “all ages” programs.
