Located in Cumming, Georgia, No Longer Bound, or NLB, is a men’s long-term drug rehab center that offers what many other insurance-driven rehabs don’t: an entire year of treatment that ensures, to a degree, your success when you leave their campus. Many other rehabs only cover 14 to 21 days of treatment. This is a faith-based program, but they claim not to be just a Bible summer camp. They want you not only to get closer to God, but to your fellow man and learn how to support each other.
When you first arrive, they’ll help you get started by creating a personalized plan for you. You’ll be getting treated by clinical therapists, recovery specialists and medical professionals who have all been impacted by addiction and understand it at a personal level. They offer group counseling, which can help with spiritual formation, accountability, and help you not feel alone in your journey. They also offer medical supervision, vocational training, mentorship, case management, recreation and family recovery.
Their vocational training is really interesting because they fully commit themselves to training you on a day to day basis in order to prepare you for a job once you graduate. They claim to have a 100% success rate with finding full time jobs for the men in their program. While you’re in rehab for the year, you’ll be working there too, learning trades like culinary skills and mechanic skills.
