About Noddles Island Multi Service Agency – Chelsea
Located in downtown Chelsea, Massachusetts, is the administrative offices of The Noddles Island Multi Service Agency. This agency works with adults, children, and families experiencing a broad range of mental and behavioral health struggles. It’s just a couple of blocks from city hall.
At this hub, you’ll find the Chelsea Counseling Center. In this center, you’ll get connected to supportive care for addiction struggles you or a loved one might be facing. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including counselors and therapists who’ll guide you through all stages of recovery.
The Chelsea office hosts the Spanish speaking NSCS Relapse Prevention Group, also called Sosteniendo la Sobriedad. This group is a strong starting point for families who might have at-risk loved ones or loved ones already in recovery.
The services are offered in Spanish to break down the culture and language barriers of quality addiction recovery support. The program lasts 16 weeks and meets on Thursday evenings.
In the Chelsea Counseling Center that’s in this administrative office, you can get connected to different wraparound services that will improve your life as well. This might include job readiness support, vocational training, group counseling, and specialized peer groups that cover a variety of topics ranging from addiction used to relapse prevention.
You can also work with the administrative team to get referred to more specialized programming. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health struggle, an intellectual or physical disability, or need trauma focused care, there are different organizations within the NSCS that can assist.
