About Northeastern Center – Outpatient – LaGrange
Northeastern Center is an outpatient clinic on North State Road 9 in LaGrange, Indiana. The clinic has CARF-accredited outpatient services for substance use and mental health disorders. They also have a special child and family service called Wraparound.
One of the nice things about this facility is they’ll serve anyone whether they can pay or not. They take insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). You can also pay on a sliding fee scale and you may be eligible for financial assistance.
The center offers a unique program, Wraparound. Wraparound works with children, teens, and their families. One of the reasons a family may use Wraparound is if a family member has substance use or mental health issues. Families that want to avoid involvement with the Department of Child Safety also use these services. There’s also a post divorce recovery program to facilitate better communication to avoid continued familial issues.
Wraparound includes a facilitator who will work with your family to create a vision and goals specific to your family. You’ll get copies of the plans and your family will meet with the team regularly to discuss treatment.
If substance use and mental health are the issue then you may qualify for the intensive outpatient program (IOP). The program is a cost effective alternative to inpatient addiction treatment and provides comprehensive services. You’ll start with an assessment from a masters level addictions counselor.
There are two treatment phases in the IOP. The first phase covers the core issues of addiction and dependency and the type of treatment necessary for remission. The second phase ensures the client has the necessary skills to prevent relapse.
Throughout treatment, you’ll have ongoing assessments and individualized treatment based on your needs. Counselors will teach you better, more appropriate coping skills that include managing anger and stress.
You’ll have individual and group therapy and participate in self help groups. If appropriate, your family will also be involved. You’ll have access to a case manager to help coordinate your treatments. If medication is necessary then you’ll get medication management as well as medication monitoring and ongoing evaluations.
