You’ll need an assessment first to determine if you’re eligible for their services. If you are, you’ll start with person centered planning which recognizes your right to be in control of your life. You’ll end up with an individualized treatment plan that covers the type, amount, scope and length of your treatment services. They’ll give you a list of facilitators and a provider directory.
The facility is a link to get you to the right services, some of which may come from other agencies. In most cases, they’ll help you arrange your first appointment before you leave the office. This way you can get treatment as quickly as possible.
Adults with serious mental illness are the priority as well as people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Children with serious emotional disturbances are also a priority. The types of treatment available include counseling, outpatient treatment, medication treatment and partial or full hospitalization.
They can refer you for methadone and LAAM treatment. You may also qualify for detoxification in a residential setting and residential treatment. Residential treatment includes intensive therapy in a licensed facility.
