Northland Dependency Services in Kansas City, Missouri offers educational classes and supervision services to individuals who have legal issues, including problems stemming from substance abuse. They offer evaluations, drug testing, and verification of community service hours that are performed to meet probation requirements. They offer a reduced fee option for prospective participants who meet certain guidelines.
They also offer supervision of electronic monitoring via GPS for individuals on house arrest, and a Substance Awareness Traffic Offenders Program for people who have substance abuse related traffic violations such as DUI charges. Completion of the SATOP program is required for retention of the offender’s driver’s license.
Educational substance abuse classes with or without random drug tests are also available. Ten hours of drug education are required, and the random drug tests are completed over a 90 day period. An individual’s traffic violation, or probation requirements will dictate whether drug testing is required.
