About Oxbow Center – Worland
Located in Worland, Wyoming, Oxbow Center, previously known as Cloud Peak Counseling Center, helps people of all ages with mental health and substance abuse support. Most clients use Medicare and Medicaid to pay for treatment. If you don’t have insurance coverage, don’t let that stop you from getting help. They offer uninsured clients a sliding scale fee.
Oxbox Center was founded in 2024, but that doesn’t mean they’re new to helping people experiencing addiction. They formed through a merger of Cloud Peak Counseling Center, Big Horn Basin Counseling Services, and Yellowstone Behavioral Health Center. That’s a lot of collective experience! Their goal? To build stronger communities where everyone can get judgement free mental healthcare and substance use treatment.
Clients who come to their outpatient addiction treatment center can participate in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), the Virtual Walk-In Clinic, and telehealth services. They offer several groups that help clients with relapse prevention, addictive thinking, and life skills. There are also gender-specific groups.
Because they offer mental health treatment to clients of all ages, they have therapists who specialize in working with kids and therapists who work mainly with adults. It’s not always easy to find treatment for children and adults in the same place, but the whole family can get help here. They also provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a specialized therapy that helps both children and adults heal from trauma by changing how the brain processes difficult memories.
The staff is committed to being there for clients when they need it most. They offer a lot of flexibility to fit your schedule. During regular office hours, you can choose to visit the physical office or access the Virtual Walk-In Clinic if you can’t make it in person.
For care outside of regular hours, they have telehealth services. Whether it’s after hours or over the weekend, their on-call staff is available to help when life feels overwhelming.
