About Oxford House Dublin – Colorado Springs
Oxford House Dublin can be found in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is different from other houses that are a part of Oxford Housing, because this home only houses women. Oxford Houses are run like a democracy and are completely self-supported, meaning there isn’t a house manager or outside group that runs all of the ins and outs of living in a sober home. Instead, all of the members of the Oxford House Dublin work together to pay the bills, vote on house rules and house decisions. Individuals who are seeking a group of peers to surround themselves with while they navigate the responsibilities of daily life, while also focusing on sober living, will find a group of eight other women with similar goals at Oxford House Dublin.
Anyone who is accepted to live in Oxford House Dublin is welcome to stay for as long as they would like, as long as they continue to pay their share of housing expenses and stay sober. Every person who is living at Oxford House Dublin is expected to contribute to rent and all of the house utilities. But, the sum of all of the bills is divided equally, so all housing members are paying the same price, regardless of how long they’ve stayed at the Oxford House. This facility does not accept insurance.
While there is no specific amount of time a resident needs to have stayed sober before entering the Oxford House Dublin, most of the women in the program have attended a five to 10 day detox or a 28 day rehab program. All of the women who are a part of the Oxford House are encouraged to attend a 12 Step meeting program, as well as other types of recovery focused programs to help support all of their sober living efforts.
