About Palladia – Continuing Care – New York
Palladia’s Continuing Care program in New York City, New York, was part of the treatment for chemically dependent individuals who were working toward developing a drug free lifestyle. They were founded in 1970 as a non-profit, multi-service agency serving largely urban and poor individuals experiencing substance abuse, homelessness, mental illness, and trauma. Many also had experience with domestic violence and within the criminal justice system. This site is currently closed, but there are other Palladia clinics nearby that can help.
Services included substance abuse treatment, alternatives to incarceration, supported permanent housing, and mental health treatment for men and women with co-occurring substance use disorder. Services in the Continuing Care Treatment Program included relapse prevention, anger management, and group and individual counseling. You had access to sober living housing and training in parenting and coping skills.
They treated men and women 18 years and older with a primary diagnosis of addiction. The program typically lasted 6 months, but you could attend longer. The program was funded and licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. They also accepted Medicaid and several major health insurance plans. They offered sliding scale fees to clients who did not have insurance.
