If you need outpatient care, you can choose from tracks that focus on mental health, substance abuse, self-injury, anxiety, and OCD. These intensive outpatient programs (IOP) meet three days per week for three hours at a time. On average you’ll remain in this type of outpatient program between four and 12 weeks. Adolescent IOPs treat kids aged 12 through 17. An IOP for kids aged five through 11 runs in the summer.
It’s important to note that Parkview has an attendance policy for IOP groups that you can only miss two sessions. After you’ve missed two sessions, they reevaluate whether the program is for you. The substance abuse IOP is broken down into three phases: education, therapeutic intervention, and aftercare.
