About Passages Ventura – Port Hueneme
Passages Ventura is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic in Port Hueneme, California. The facility offers several programs including detox, residential treatment, outpatient treatment and sober living homes. They accept most major types of insurance including TRICARE and Kaiser Permanente.
They have a medication assisted detox program where nurses and doctors will monitor you around the clock. They’ll bring you your meals if you don’t want to leave your room. They also offer massages to help with sore muscles. Therapists are also available to talk to during detox.
The residential treatment program offers 25 hours of individual therapy a month. They have luxurious rooms and a beautiful outdoor setting. While an inpatient, you’ll learn about the staff’s philosophy of the four causes of addiction. These are a chemical imbalance, events in your past you haven’t yet reconciled, current conditions you’re unable to cope with and things that you believe that aren’t really true.
The staff will help you figure out what caused your substance use so you can tackle it head-on with lots of individual therapy. They do not use the 12-step model of recovery. Once you’ve finished the inpatient program, you can move to the partial hospitalization program (PHP) where you’ll get six to seven hours of treatment five days per week.
There’s also an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets three to five days per week for three to four hours each day. The IOP focuses on reintegrating you back into your daily life, structured around sobriety and recovery. You’ll work on creating a supportive, healthy community. You may even work on career goals.
All the programs offer individual therapy, group therapy, and medical care from licensed doctors and registered nurses. There’s also yoga, acupressure, and massage. You can get personal training, participate in hypnotherapy, and have spiritual counseling.
This facility has accreditations from The Joint Commission, CARF, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
