About Peaks Recovery Centers – Colorado Springs
Peaks Recovery Centers is a Joint Commission accredited drug and alcohol rehab located on 11 acres of land in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with breathtaking scenery. Here at this rehab, they offer treatment to adults who are struggling with co-occurring and substance abuse disorders. Levels of care include medical detox, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Adventure, exercise, and movement therapy are a few of the holistic therapies you will utilize during your day in residential treatment. Onsite chefs, aftercare planning, and alumni events are also available here. They provide a gender specific approach for treatment. This provides an atmosphere that will provide a more comfortable environment to discuss certain topics only men or other women could empathize with.
This facility offers a serene, calm and relaxing setting to help minimize any outside noise that can sometimes distract you from focusing on your healing and recovery. During your time at this facility they will incorporate adventure therapy into your treatment plan. This has so many benefits that can help heal the mind, body and soul, especially since you will be outdoors! Outdoor adventure activities include hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing and canoeing. Adventure therapy also helps with trauma, anxiety, depression, self confidence and teamwork.
In intensive outpatient treatment you will have enough flexibility to show up for treatment while you are also maintaining your weekly responsibilities and staying consistent with a day to day routine. Treatment will include individual and group therapy. Family therapy is also available to help both you and your loved ones build back relationships that may have been severed. Family therapy will also help create healthy boundaries and help you learn to build trust again. They also have peer recovery coaches to help with employment, housing and getting connected to 12 Step meetings or other support groups. These groups help hold you accountable and motivate you to move forward in recovery.
