About PermiaCare Turning Point – Odessa
PermiaCare Turning Point is a premier residential drug and alcohol recovery center in Odessa, Texas. They provide adults in crisis with a comprehensive care plan rooted in the 12 steps method and cognitive behavioral therapy. They are a private facility in a residential setting with modern amenities.
Clients who do not have a source of income or health insurance are eligible for free care. They also provide a sliding fee scale for clients who qualify.
Turning Point’s residential treatment program sees clients living at the facility throughout treatment, which lasts 30 to 35 days, depending on need. Clients work with an interdisciplinary personal care team during their stay to create a unique, comprehensive care plan that addresses their needs. The program uses a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) base to explore the nature of addiction and teach coping skills.
In addition to therapy, which happens in individual and group settings, the Turning Point program provides several educational opportunities to help clients develop life skills that will help them maintain sobriety and stability upon program completion. Lectures cover subjects like relapse prevention and chemical dependency.
Turning Point is also heavily rooted in the 12 step program popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous. The 12 step program takes place in a peer led group setting where clients progress through a series of phases that seem them admit and take responsibility for their addiction, make amends with those harmed by their addictions, and provide ongoing support for others in the program. The 12 step program has a proven track record in helping clients recover and maintain sobriety.
Turning Point provides continuing care and support to clients exiting treatment by referring them to additional services and helping to place them in other programs. They will also help clients find sober living environments upon program completion.
