About Phelps Hospital – Sleepy Hollow
Northwell Phelps Hospital is in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and is a full medical center that cares for the body and the mind with state-of-the-art facilities and highly trained staff. They have a large and comprehensive mental health, addiction and behavioral health department that provides inpatient psychiatry beds for adults, a large outpatient treatment program for all ages, and an inpatient substance abuse program for patients who are 19 years of age or older. This is provided by the behavioral rehabilitation unit. They don’t provide detox on their addiction unit.
There are nine listed psychiatrists who work with patients at the Phelps Hospital. There’s also a large team of professionals from mental health nurses to social workers to occupational therapists and nutritionists.
The inpatient psychiatric unit has 22 beds available for those who are struggling with acute emotional or mental health issues requiring 24-hour care. This includes geriatric patients who are struggling with dementia or other conditions.
