About Pioneer Human Services King County Residential Treatment Program – Seattle
The King County Residential Treatment Program, part of Pioneer Human Services, is a 16 bed recovery facility for those with a dual diagnosis which is co occurring substance use disorder with a mental health condition. You’ll find it just southwest of the shore of Lake Washington in Seattle, Washington. The average stay at this facility is 28 to 59 days long, but the length of your stay is determined by your needs.
They list four accepted insurance plans: Community Health Plans of Washington, Wellpoint, Coordinated Care, and Molina. They accept referrals from the Kings County Care Coordination Office.
In addition to the addiction and behavioral health treatment here like their medication assisted treatment, you’ll spend part of your time focusing on everyday living skills. These classes focus on different areas of living well and independently, including nutrition and recreation classes. The goal of these classes is to show you how these changes can improve your overall health and recovery and to give you time to develop said new habits in a supervised setting.
Of course, you’ll also participate in coping skills classes and relapse prevention classes during your stay. Staff will help you balance all of these new concepts so nothing will get lost in the shuffle.
While what we’ve discussed so far has focused on internal factors, let’s not forget the external factors that can make or break stability in recovery. Having a steady job and a roof over your head gives you two fewer things to stress out over, but more importantly, they give you structure and safety. This location’s supportive employment and housing programs can help you establish these things before you exit the program.
It’s hard to pin down just one thing that Seattle is famous for. Is it the bustling culinary and arts scenes? The gorgeous waterfront views? Frasier?
The point is, that Seattle can be a great place to finally find sobriety and recover from substance use disorder. Between the comfortable amenities of the center itself and the many sites of the city proper, you’ll feel welcome at this facility, no matter how low you’re feeling.
