About Power House – Gonzales
The Power House facility, found in Gonzales, Louisiana, is a residential men’s extended care facility specializing in substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment. Power House’s approach to recovery goes beyond what is normally seen in traditional rehab. The team at Power House focuses on the addition of transitional housing and sober homes into their program to support their clients as they transition back into everyday life.
Power House aims to help men aged 17 and up transition back into society after they have successfully completed primary treatment. This program combines the principles of the 12 Step model along with volunteer commitments, fun recreational activities and therapy.
Power House uses three phases to help guide the men in their program through their unique recovery journey. The first phase focuses on orienting the newcomer to the powerhouse program. This phase also encourages men to develop healthy independent living skills. Phase two works to develop role model behavior and productive work skills. The third phase encourages attendees to return to the community and officially graduate the program.
