Established in 1970, this nonprofit corporation welcomes voluntary and court-ordered youth and adults who are experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders. You’ll benefit from standard outpatient care to reach recovery while living at home.
Their program blends proven therapeutic interventions and social services to meet you where you are in recovery. You can participate in group, individual and family counseling as well as educational workshops and case management.
For me, their employment assistance services truly stood out. They help you complete the necessary steps to secure employment in desirable industries and gain financial stability. You can access resume writing services, job fairs, job postings and employment paperwork assistance. That way, you’ll leave treatment with the connections, tools and confidence to find a meaningful career and sustain recovery.
I also think their health and wellness services are fantastic. You can access STD, HIV and Hepatitis testing; PEP and PrEP; and transitional housing for men with HIV. Of these services, their transitional housing really stands out. Along with substance abuse treatment, you can access case management, support groups and counseling. You’ll benefit from a supportive, culturally competent space to connect with others you resonate with while growing together.
Their parenting support groups also caught my eye. They provide welcoming sessions to discuss your experiences and family dynamics while improving communication and parenting skills. You can practice parenting skills and learn behaviors to strengthen your family unit. These groups are free if you’re enrolled in outpatient counseling.
